Isopropanol Alcohol has many uses especially in today's technology such as de-icing and removing oils, cleaning electronic devices such as contact pins, magnetic tape and head disks, floppy discs, lenses of disc drives (CD and DVD players), LCD monitors (Do a spot test -risk of the anti reflection coating to some screens), removing human oils from cell phone screens and PDAs.

Isopropanol Alcohol can also remove some of the thermal paste from IC packages (such as CPUs). It can also be used to remove brake fluid traces from hydraulic disc braking systems so that the brake fluid does not contaminate the brake pads. Isopropanol Alcohol can also be used to clean paintballs or other oil based products so that they may be reused commonly known as "repainting".
